Telecommute-Independent Contractor — We are a web healthcare company, looking for an independent contractor-PHP developer preferably in the US. The position is to expand an existing web application based on a Linux/Apache/PostgreSQL architecture into new areas, while also maintaining and updating the existing application. The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven track record
• Building on existing data-driven, complex web applications
• Working with a variety of MVC frameworks, including Kohana and custom MVC frameworks to cater to unique project needs
• Implementing data visualization systems
• Working with consumer-targeted user interfaces
• Working with start-ups
Requirements:
Ability to grasp complex algorithms and complex concepts
40 hours per week commitment till completion of the project
Flexibility to accommodate A/B testing and changes based on test results
Ability to grasp the big picture and pay attention to detail at the same time to be able to test and debug effectively.
Capacity to maintain application and troubleshoot after launch
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Effective written and oral communication with non-technical team, marketing and UI designers.
Grasp of SEO basics necessary.
