Web Application Developer

Brisbane, Australia — Limelight Digital is a fresh and energetic digital agency providing a range of web based solutions to clients locally and internationally. We have three office locations, two in Australia and one in Florida and also offer telecommute positions.
We have been exploring Kohana as our framework of choice for around a year now and now have an open contract position for an experienced Kohana/PHP developer that keeps up to date with the latest in client side technology. You have the option of working from home or at one of our three offices and will report to the Technical Director.
Required Experience
- 5+ years commercial PHP experience
- Demonstrated experience using Kohana in real-world applications
- Experience using API services such as Google Data, Google Maps, PayPal, Facebook, Twitter, Recurly, Chargify
- Solid MySQL foundations
- jQuery or other client-side library experience
- Demonstrated experience utilising HTML5, CSS3 and frameworks such as HTML5 Boilerplate
Desired, but not mandatory
- MongoDB/NoSQL experience
- Exposure to Node.JS/Socket.IO / Express
- Experience working at a web app startup or any subscription based web application
- Open source contributions, GitHub account etc.
